Darwin "Doc" Charles Collar

Darwin Charles Collar, age 78 of Markesan passed away on Thursday, May 26, 2022, at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.

Darwin was born on May 6, 1944, son of George and Violet (Hemple) Collar. He entered into the service with the U.S. Air Force and served from 1964- 1966. For 45 years Darwin was an independent truck driver. He enjoyed watching the NASCAR races.

Darwin is survived by his sister, Sharon Sauerbrei of Markesan; cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Don Sauerbrei.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Markesan Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Kevin Mundell officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Abendroth-Connolly American Legion Post 282 Honor Guard.
