Betty Lou Frye

Betty Lou Frye, age 92 of Waupun, WI, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at The Pines in Clintonville, WI.

Betty was born on June 12, 1932, daughter of Wilhelm and Bernice (Ludwig) Longseth. She was united in marriage to Charles Frye on September 27, 1952 at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church, Beaver Dam, WI.

Betty attended Madison Business School which helped lay the foundation for her secretarial career. She worked at local manufacturing business offices, law firms and medical offices until she began her family.

In 1972, Betty began her 23 year career at the Green Giant Canning Factory at Beaver Dam WI. She enjoyed working with her coworkers and maintained lasting friendships. Betty and Chuck were active Members of Golden Ambassadors.

Betty had a deep connection to her faith and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun. She was active in teaching Sunday School for many years, participating in the Bethel Group Studies and volunteered to help out her congregation throughout the years.

Betty and Chuck enjoyed traveling and always willing to help out friends and family no matter where they lived. She enjoyed reading books, going to craft fairs, shopping for new flowers for her flower gardens and babysitting for her grandchildren. She always looked forward to meeting her dear friend Marlene at McDonalds in Beaver Dam for a cup of coffee. Betty was an active member in Chester Homemakers, and a Mentor for Achievers 4H Club (Dodge County).

Betty is survived by her four children, Jacqueline Huebner of Clintonville, WI, Patricia (Michael) Rulseh of Clintonville, WI, Jeffrey (Carol Nelson) Frye of Malone, WI and Randall (Brenda) Frye of Waupun, WI.

Six grandchildren, Alissa Huebner-Staude (Brett) of Greendale WI, Cody Huebner, Christopher Rulseh, and Nicholas (Jamie) Rulseh of Clintonville WI, Camryn and Landen Frye of Waupun WI and two great grandchildren, Carter and Otto.

A visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, WI 53963.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Kohls Community Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Nicla officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
