Ardis Gloria Wiersma

Ardis Gloria Wiersma, age 71 of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Randolph Health Services surrounded by her family.

Ardis was born on July 18, 1946, a daughter of Ray and Lena (Oosterling) Alsum. She was united in marriage to Norman Wiersma on December 13, 1963, at First Reformed Church in Friesland. Ardis worked at Jung Seed Company for 25 years. She loved her flowers and gardening. Ardis was an avid reader and enjoyed knitting. She was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church.

Ardis is survived by her husband, Norm; four children, Kenneth (Jennifer) Wiersma of Necedah, Darrell (Shelly) Wiersma of Cambria, Shelly (David) Cupery of Randolph and Brian (Teresa) Wiersma of Randolph; ten grandchildren, Marc (Candice) Wiersma, Kimberly (Mark) Gessner, Alicia (Dan) Pulvermacher, Tiffany (Jason) Lingle, Sam (Rebecca) Wiersma, Jon Cupery, Josh Cupery, Austin Wiersma, Brianna Wiersma and Ashtyn Wiersma; eighteen great-grandchildren; three sisters, Harlene Kok-Driesenga, Janice (Jim) Syens, Thelma (Ken) Rozema; a brother, Randy (Marlene) Alsum; a sister-in-law, Thelma Wiersma; two brothers-in-law, Gene (Linda) Wiersma and Marvin (Karen) Wiersma; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents;parents-in-law, Clifford (Alberta) Wiersma, Sr.; a brother, Roy Alsum; four brothers-in-law, Ron Kok, Jay Driesenga, Wayne Wiersma and Clifford “Bud” Wiersma, Jr.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Second Christian Reformed Church of Randolph, 332 Tamarack Street, Randolph.

A funeral service for Ardis will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Second Christian Reformed Church of Randolph with Rev. Keith Buist officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been directed to the Second Christian Reformed Church.
