Ardell Navis

Ardell Navis, age 87 of Waupun passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018, at her home in Waupun surrounded by her children, Kathy, Yvonne and Randy.

Ardell was born on August 1, 1931, in the township of Oakfield to Ray and Dorothy (Schouten) Voskuil. On June 1, 1950, she married Milton Navis in Waupun and resided in Waupun all their lives. The couple enjoyed their children and going to the cottage yearly for a week with family and friends. Ardell and her husband were custodians at First Reformed Church for several years, she also worked at Hopp’s restaurant and Helen’s Kitchen.

Ardell is survived by her three children, Kathy Scheuers, Yvonne Respalje and Randy (Norie) Navis, all of Waupun; son-in-law, Galvin Ten Pass of Markesan; eight grandchildren, Wendy, Kerry, Matt, Sara, Derek, Tim, Jared and Samantha; fourteen great-grandchildren; brother, Ron (Eileen) Voskuil; sister-in-law, Sharon (Dick) Peters; brother-in-law, Mike DeYoung and many nieces, nephews and cousins, family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Milton; infant son, Wayne Lynn Navis; daughter, Colleen Ten Pass;  son-in-law, Dale Respalje;  brother, Earl Voskuil; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; nephews; grandparents; aunts and uncles.

Visitation for Ardell will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at First Reformed Church, 422 West Franklin Street, Waupun.

A funeral service for Ardell will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at church with Pastor Barry Lang officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Ardell’s name.
