Alvin James Mann

Alvin James Mann, age 77, of Brandon, passed away with family at his side on Monday, January 23, 2023, at Anchor Communities II, Assisted Living in Brandon.

Alvin was born on August 16, 1945, in Freeport Illinois, son of Alvin and Betty (Van Buren) Mann. He was united in marriage to Judy Fischer on October 23, 1965, in Waupun. Alvin enjoyed spending his time riding his scooter, gambling, collecting and crushing cans. He also loved watching wrestling in his spare time. For many years Alvin ran the paper route for the Waupun area, worked at Zephyr Gas Station in Waupun and Mayville Metal of Mayville.

Alvin is survived by his three sons, Mark (Glenda) Mann of Oshkosh, Chad (Tania) Mann of Brandon and Shannon (Kathy) Mann of Lake Linden, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Zachary (fiancé Skylar Smerling) Swanke, Connie (Jeff) Hicks, Billy (Jessica) Mann, Bradley (Linsay) Swanke, Nich Mann, Lucas (Fiancé Miranda Cotter) Mann, Ethan (Alyssa Jungwirth) Mann, Juda Mann; eight great grandchildren, Mason, Audria and Aurora Swanke, Aiden and Sawyer Mann, Kameryn, Brayden and Jayce Hicks; brother, Earl (Trudy) Mann; daughter-in-law, Tammy Mann; in-laws, Dennis (Karen) Fischer, Gregory (Rhonda) Fischer and Lori Ann (Mark) Schmidt; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Mann in 2000; and previous wife, Beth (Navis) Mann in 2016; son, Jeff Mann; daughter-in-law, Sheryl Swanke-Mann and in-law, Lester (Pauline) Fischer.

A visitation for Alvin will be held from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, WI 53963.

A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Kohls Funeral Home with Rev. Don Deike officiating.
