Agnes Jean Derrick age 74 of Randolph, passed away after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer on Saturday, May 11, 2019, with family at her side at Agrace Hospice in Janesville.
Agnes was born on June 27, 1944, Randolph, in the township of Westford, daughter of Louis and Sarah (Hepp) Dronek. She was a graduate of Randolph High School, class of 1962. Agnes was united in marriage to Kenneth Derrick on June 10, 1967 at St. Michaels in Beaver Dam. She enjoyed gambling and traveling with family and friends. Agnes was a member of the Randolph Service League and Randolph Fire Department Women’s Auxiliary. She especially enjoyed time with family and watching grandchildren’s sports and activities. Agnes was a lifetime member of Annunciation Catholic Church of Fox Lake.
Agnes is survived by her son, Michael (Diane) Derrick and daughter, Michele (Victor) Herbst; four grandchildren, Ryan and Carson Herbst, Samantha and Noah Derrick; siblings, Virginia Niehoff, Beatrice (Gregg) Hanson, Ray Drzonek and Ethel (Ronald) Herold; sister-in-law, Rita (Terry) Wisneski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth in 1992; daughter, Ann in infancy; sister, Ella (Leonard) Baerwolf; brothers, Howard (Joan) Drzonek and Earl (Margaret Ann) Drzonek; sister-in-law, Marlene Sone.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 South High Street and again 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Saturday, May 18, at Annunciation Catholic Church, 305 West Green Street, Fox Lake.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Annunciation Catholic Church with Fr. John Radetski officiating. Burial will follow in the Annunciation Catholic Cemetery.
