Shirley Eileen King

Shirley Eileen King, age 90 of Randolph, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, December 30, 2016 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Shirley was born on August 23, 1926 in the town of Randolph, the daughter of Henry and Edna (Mulvaney) Yonkie. She graduated from Rio High School in 1944. On May 3, 1947 she was united in marriage to Edward King at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Randolph. Shirley waitressed at Wandreis Cafe, was also employed at Rockwell and with Educators Progress Service as a clerk for 32 years. She was a past member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church and belonged to Christian Mothers Group. Shirley was a member of Annunciation Catholic Parish in Fox Lake. In her free time she enjoyed square dancing, bowling, crocheting, playing cards and was well known for her cooking and baking. She was a friend to many, her smile and gentle character will be missed.

Shirley is survived by 4 children, Judy (Marv) Siegert of Madison, Steven King of Randolph, Michael King of Randolph and Patti (Paul) Toben of Waterloo; 6 grandchildren, Kim Waterfield of Hartland, Amy (Chris) Arenz of Madison, Kristen (Matt) Wieseckel of Madison, Jake Toben of Cottonwood, AZ, Eric Toben of Milwaukee and Katelyn Toben of Waterloo; 8 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; a sister, Hazel (Clarence) Kuehl; two sisters-in-law, Ardis (Sherwood) Jenkins and Delores (Robert) Freitag.

Visitation for Shirley will be from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Annunciation Catholic Parish, 305 West Green Street, Fox Lake.

A funeral mass for Shirley will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at Annunciation Catholic Parish with Rev. John Radetski officiating. Burial to follow at Randolph Annunciation Catholic Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Shirley’s name.
