June Mildred Thieleke, age 90 of Randolph, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2016 at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor in Randolph.
June was born on October 17, 1925 in the town of Alto, a daughter of Aldert and Jeanette (Landaal) Van Buren. On September 29, 1951 she was united in marriage to Melvin Thieleke. June was employed seasonally at Jungs Seed Company for 15 years and was also seasonally employed at the Cambria Canning Factory for many years. She was also a cosmetic consultant for Avon. June enjoyed gardening, fishing and band concerts. She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church.
June is survived by her daughter, Linda (Byron) Navis of Brandon; 3 grandchildren, Cheryl (Matthew) Dickinson of Beaver Dam, Christopher and Andrew Navis of Brandon; 4 great grandchildren, Rylee, Kaelyn, Emmaline and Kinley Dickinson; 1 sister, Doris Daane of Waupun and sister-in-law Jane Thieleke; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; a son, Kenneth Thieleke; 1 brother, Alvin “Sonny” Van Buren and 1 sister, Alvina at the age of 2; two sisters-in-law Cora (Harry) Winkel and Edna (Ed) Garlieb; two brothers-in-law Donald Daane and Allan Thieleke.
Visitation for June will be held on Sunday, July 10, 2016 from 4-6:00 P.M. at Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 S. High Street, Randolph and at Friedens Ev. Lutheran Church on Monday, July 11th from 10-11:00 A.M.
A funeral service for June will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Friedens Ev. Lutheran Church, 335 Jones Drive, Randolph with Rev. Daniel Schumann officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in June’s name.
