Elizabeth Lucy Helmer

In loving memory of Elizabeth Lucy Helmer (Scott), 76 of Randolph, Wisconsin. Elizabeth was born on April 2, 1940 to Earl and Edith (Skidmore) Scott. Due to an accident she left us unexpectedly on June 9, 2016.

Elizabeth grew up and attended school in the Pardeeville area. She then met Delwin Helmer and married on October 19, 1961. Majority of their life they worked on their dairy farm near Cambria. Elizabeth was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Friesland, and loved attending church and socializing with her friends of the congregation.

She enjoyed going to country music shows with friends and dances in Fox Lake to listen to music. One of her passions was auctions and sales collecting antiques. She also enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all of their events and activities. She followed the Brewers and Badger games faithfully. She also loved cardinal birds, working in her yard and also built a special angel garden.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Robin Schulz (Kevin Ertl) of Helmville, MT, Roxanne Prochnow of Cambria and Ryan (Linda) Helmer of Friesland; grandchildren, Jayme (Sara) Schulz of Montgomery, IL, Margo (Richie) Plath and their daughter, Greylyn of Kingston, Reed and Rylee Prochnow, Hoyt, Rayna and Lydia Helmer; a brother, Marlin (Marlene) Scott of Rio; 2 sisters, Gladys Scott of Portage and Barbara (Jim) Crawford of Portage; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Delwin and twin siblings, Gerald and Geraldine.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 101 First Street, Friesland, WI.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, with Rev. John Unnasch. Burial to follow at Cambria Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Elizabeth’s name.
