Eleanor “Ma” Miller

Eleanor Ruth Miller, age 81 of Waupun, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at Waupun Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family.

Eleanor was born on January 1, 1935 in Waupun, WI, a daughter of Harry and Alice (Fermnema) Farr. In 1965 she was united in marriage to Vernon Miller in Rockford, IL. Eleanor was employed at the Shoe Factory for 20 years and later was employed at Old Towne Inn & Waupun Burger, Geri’s Restaurant and Last Chapter as a cook’s helper and dishwasher. She was a member of the Waupun United Methodist Church. Eleanor bowled in league for 50 years, was an avid Packer fan and also enjoyed camping at Willow Mills and playing cards.

Eleanor is survived by 4 children, Howard Beekman of Pembine, WI, Kenneth Miller of Waupun, Lisa (Gordon) Pinch of Waupun and Douglas Miller of Waupun; 3 step-sons; 1 step-daughter; 10 grandchildren, Lori, Tammi, Sam, Ashley, Jamie, Keerin, Keegan, Kody, Jacob & Michael; Several great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Harry (Linda) Farr, Jr.; 2 sisters, Iva Bryant and Mary (George) Wolfer; 2 god daughters, Becky and Kim; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon in 1997, a daughter in law, Carol Beekman; a grandson, Corey Crain; a brother, Rodney Farr and a sister, Lillian (Marvin) Peters and a dear friend, Anne VanderBush.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 5, 2016 and on Monday, June 6, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun.

A celebration of Eleanor’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, June 6, 2016 at Kohls Community Funeral Home with Rev. JD McCarty officiating. Entombment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
