Russell Allen Westover

Russell Allen Westover, age 35 of Randolph, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 7, 2016.

Russell's children were his pride and joy. Russell loved spending time with his children. They loved spending time in the dells, playing outside, playing board games, and shooting hoops together. Russell loved cooking with Riley and sharing s’mores with her, it was definitely one of his favorite pastimes. Listening to music and dancing with Allie reminded us all how well Russell could groove and move. Ryder was his first and only son and that in itself made Russell smile for hours as he played with tractors and trucks with him. Russell enjoyed being a molder and dry walling with his brother. He took great pride in his work. He loved fishing with his mother in law and working on cars with his father in law when he had a moment to himself. Russell enjoyed caring for his father and spending time with him. Russell had a big heart and would always help a person in need. Russell cherished everyone he loved and he made sure the ones he loved knew it. Russell greeted everyone with a smile and will be remembered for having kind words and a lending hand for everyone he met. Russell will be deeply missed by his children and loved ones.

Russell is survived by his three children, Riley Ann, Allie Jo and Ryder Allen Westover; his father, Robert Westover of Fox Lake; brother, Robert A. Westover Jr (fiancé, Mellissa Kuntz); Grandmother, Ann Theresa Westover of AZ; the mother of his children, Amanda Westover of Randolph; uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Westover, a brother, David Westover and mother-in-law, Mary Jansma.

A celebration of Russell’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at United Methodist Church of Randolph, 227 North High Street, Randolph with Pastor Pam Harkema officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at church.

A memorial fund has been established in Russell’s name.
