Milo Ervin Perry, 89 of Oakfield, passed away peacefully with family by his side on Friday, March 11, 2016 at St Agnes Hospital in Fond du lac, WI.

Milo was born on November 25, 1926 in Fond du lac, WI, a son of George and Laura (Kuhnz) Perry. He was united in marriage to Maxine Millar on July 3, 1947 at Immanuel Trinity Lutheran Church in Fond du lac, WI. Milo served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-1946 aboard the LST 263 in WWII. He worked as a machinist at Giddings and Lewis for 37 years retiring in 1989. He was a lifetime member of the Oakfield VFW Post 8092 and a member of the Van Dyne Sportsmen Club. Milo traveled the U.S. for reunions of the WWII USS LST 263 Ships’ company and was honored to be selected for the Old Glory Honor Flight in 2012. With a passion for hunting, he collected guns, reloaded ammunition, enjoyed trap and skeet shooting and fishing. Milo passed on the passion to his children and grandchildren. He was an avid motorcycle rider and loved taking tractor rides.

Milo is survived by his children Michael (Donna) Perry of Oakfield; Sue (Jim) Coffman of Eagle River and Todd (Lisa) Perry of Black River Falls; 7 grandchildren, Tanya (Jody) Marcoe; Angie (Joe Kraus) Perry-Volbright; Julie (Phil) Kemnitz; Jackson Perry; Lauren Perry; Jeff Mayhew and Joe Mayhew; 17 great grandchildren, Aaron Anderson; Krista Marcoe; Brandon Anderson; Jenna Anderson; Kylie Marcoe; Alexis Volbright; Jaiden Volbright; Cole Volbright; Peyton Kemnitz; Adelyn Kemnitz; Kaylen Kemnitz; Thomas Kemnitz; Ireland Mayhew; Isabelle Mayhew; Ryan Mayhew; Sam Mayhew; Alyson Mayhew and a sister Beatrice Geisthardt; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 2008; daughter Sandy Mayhew; two sisters Muriel (Stanley) Pinch; Rosalie (Raymond) Burelton; brother Kenneth (Margie) Perry and brother-in-law Rolland Geisthardt.

A funeral service for Milo will be held at 3 P.M. on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main Street, Waupun, with burial to follow at Avoca Cemetery in Oakfield with Military Honors provided by VFW Post 8092.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17th from 1-3 P.M. at Kohls Community Funeral Home.
