James "Jim" Raymond Stickles

August 15, 1942 — March 10, 2016

James Raymond Stickles, age 73 of Markesan, passed away on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Appleton Medical Center in Appleton, WI.

Jim was born on August 15, 1942 in Chicago, IL, a son of Arthur and Marion (Collins) Stickles. Jim began farming at a young age. He loved living in the country which lead to purchasing farm land in the 1970’s. On the farm Jim had many animals, pigs, ducks, geese, pheasants and his two dogs. He was very much a family person; he took care of his brother Mark until the end and was always there for his mother until he no longer could. Jim was known for his sense of humor and big heart. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Markesan.

Jim is survived by his brother Charles Stickles of Burnett; nieces, nephew other relative and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother David (Patricia) Stickles and Mark Stickles (2015); his parents and two nephews.

Services for Jim will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, March 19, 2016 at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 N. Margaret Street, Markesan with Rev. Paulraj Sellam officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday beginning at 10:A.M. until the hour of service. Burial to follow at Markesan Memorial Cemetery.
