Bernadine Mae Bobholz, 86, of rural Cambria was called home to her eternal rest on Monday, February 15, 2016 at Continental Manor in Randolph.
Bernadine was born on May 8, 1929 in the Town of Richford, Wisconsin, the daughter of Arthur and Lillian (Bandt) Daye. She married Norman A. Bobholz on October 1, 1949 in Wautoma, Wisconsin.
Bernadine was a long-time resident of Friesland where she was an active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid. She spent 50+ years working at Jung Seed Co. where she made many life-long friends. She enjoyed staying in touch with friends and family (by phone and by Facebook), but her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Bernadine will be sadly missed and mourned by: her 2 children, Connie Baney of Cambria and Gene (Debra) Bobholz of Friesland; 4 grandchildren, Brian (Kristin) Baney of Columbus, Heather (Matthew) Vosberg of Fall River, David (Emily Jeffers)Bobholz of Bangor, Holly (Sean Kaebisch) Bobholz of Cambria; 7 great grandchildren, Caelan, Keira and Kenzie Baney, Lillian and Logan Vosberg and Ava and Elliana Bobholz; and 5 sisters-in-law Ramona Moran, Violet (Clifford) Topel, Pearl Sommer, Marjorie Bobholz and Karen Laper, as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Bernadine was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Norman (1999), son-in-law Don, brother Vilas (Irene) Daye and Lloyd (Mildred) Daye, as well as other brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. on Friday, February 19, 2016 and Saturday, February 20, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 First Street, Friesland.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at church with Pastor John Unnasch officiating. Burial to follow at Friesland Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in Bernadine’s name.
