Margaret Verhulst, age 80 of Randolph, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Margaret was born on October 6, 1935 in Columbia County, WI, a daughter of Richard and Sarah (Alsum) Stiemsma. She was a graduate of Randolph High School in the class of 1954. Margaret worked for Rockwell for 20 years and Koplin for 15 years. She was a member of the First Randolph Christian Reformed Church. Margaret enjoyed crocheting, knitting and puzzles. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Margaret is survived by 3 children, Sarah (Leroy) Wiersma of Black River Falls, Len (Pam) Verhulst of Ripon & Doug Verhulst of Dane; 9 grandchildren, Tiffany (Josh) Krogman, Royce (Ricki) Wiersma, Lance (Liz) Wiersma, Leandra Verhulst, Lindsey Verhulst, Lexis Verhulst, Hunter Verhulst, Hannah Verhulst and Britni Baker; 4 great grandchildren, Grace and Evelyn Krogman, Hank Wiersma, and Evelyn Rae; a sister, Bernice (Henry) Streekstra of Montana; a brother, Ray (Judy) Stiemsma of Friesland; a sister-in-law, Helena Stiemsma of Friesland; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Gerrit Stiemsma and a sister, Dorothy (John) DeHaan.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service.
A celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at First Randolph Christian Reformed Church, N8879 East Friesland Road, Randolph, with Rev. Ken Prol officiating. Burial to follow at Friesland Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been directed to the library fund at First Randolph Christian Reformed Church.
