Merle Mcrobert

Merle John McRobert, age 90 of Waupun, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Golden Living Center Continental Manor in Randolph.
Merle was born on December 16, 1924 in Fond du Lac, WI, a son of John and Jane (Vande Kolk) McRobert. On June 28, 1947 he was united in marriage to Viola Zabel in Waupun, WI. During World War II he served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945 and also in the National Guard where he was stationed in Fort Louis, WA during the Berlin Crisis. Merle was employed with Central State Hospital and Dodge Correction Institution. He enjoyed gardening, reading and traveling. Merle very much enjoyed spending time with his family.
Merle is survived by his wife, Viola of Waupun; his children, Wanda Meyers of Tacoma, WA, Eileen (Roger) Marshall of Puyallup, WA, Mark McRobert of Waupun and Karen Sheriff of Fond du Lac; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, June Kerski of Milwaukee and Lee (Richard) Bojorquez of St. Anthony, ID; a brother, Gilbert (Esther) McRobert of Hudsonville, MI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Melvin, an infant brother, a sister, Margaret Baker and a great grandson, Chavis Sheriff.
Per Merle’s wishes, no visitation or services will be held at this time.
