Hazel Mary Anton

Hazel Mary Anton, age 91 of Markesan, passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Ripon Medical Center.

Hazel was born on February 3, 1924 in the town of Randolph, a daughter of Herbert Anton and Freida Rode. She graduated from Randolph High School in 1942 and on June 16, 1946 she was united in marriage to Gordon R. Lockwood in Markesan, WI. She attended dress design school in Milwaukee and at UW Madison following high school. For many years she was a seamstress for people in Markesan and surrounding communities. During her retirement she enjoyed taking care of her home and using her computer.

Hazel is survived by a son, Marc Lockwood of Markesan; a daughter, Linda McMillion (Ralph) of Crandon; 2 grandsons, Andrew (Karen) McMillion and Bradley DeWilde; a brother, David (DaJuan) Anton of California; a sister, Audrey Anton of Randolph; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by a brother, Herbert (Joyce) Anton Jr.; Gordon Lockwood in 1999 and her son-in-law, Raymond McMillion in 1994.

A celebration of Hazel's life will be held on Monday, October 19, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan, WI. Burial to follow at Markesan Cemetery.

A memorial fund has been established in Hazel's name.
