Dorothy Tobak, of Cambria formerly of Waupun, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 24, 2015.
Dorothy was born on September 30, 1920 in the town of Randolph, the daughter of John and Jessie (Stiemsma) Smits. She was united in marriage to Jacob Tobak on January 18, 1947. Dorothy worked at National Rivet for 43 years. She was a member of First Christian Reformed Church of Waupun where she taught Sunday school for a number of years as well as a member of the ladies aid. Dorothy enjoyed playing horseshoes and spending time with the grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Marno (Richard) Oliver of Cambria; 8 grandchildren, Janielle (Chris) Hanson, Rick (Melva) Oliver, Melissa Oliver and special friend Steve Schoenweitz, Rebecca (Mark) Davis, Christa (Tom) Graff, Randy (Robin) Oliver, Peggy (Chris) Baney, Paul Oliver and Wendy Manthey; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law Tracy Smits; nieces nephews other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966; sister Sadie Smits and brother Elmer Smits.
A celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at First Christian Reformed Church, 20 Bly Street, Waupun, WI. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 28th from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
