Florence Jean Tobak, age 84 of Beaver Dam, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Florence was born on August 26, 1930 in the town of Randolph, a daughter of Henry and Sarah (DeVries) Stiemsma. She was a nursing assistant for 25 years and was employed with three area nursing facilities Wyocena Columbia County Health Care Center, Clearview Dodge County Home and the Columbus Care Center. Florence was an avid card player, enjoyed crocheting, sitting out on the lake watching the sunsets, telling stories and reading gossip magazines.
Florence is survived by 4 children, Gerald Tobak of Beaver Dam, Sandra Rataczak of Columbus,Sharon Cupery of Waupun and Roger Tobak of Sheboygan; a Special Daughter-in-law, Janice Tobak of Beaver Dam; a sister, Carol Nehmer of Randolph; 2 sisters-in-law, Debbie Stiemsma of Randolph and Virginia Stiemsma of Beaver Dam; 10 grandchildren; 19 great -grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by a son, Walter “Wally” Tobak; parents; a sister, Betty Hull; 3 brothers, Gordon, Roger “Rhinney” and Louie Stiemsma and a great-great-grandson, Cameron.
A celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11:00 at Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 South High Street, Randolph with Rev. Kenneth Prol officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Randolph Community Funeral Home.
