Edna Emma Daye, age 93 of Cambria, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at Golden Living Center Continental Manor in Randolph, Wisconsin.
Edna was born on September 30, 1921 in the township of Randolph, Wisconsin, a daughter of Herman and Amelia (Stenzel) Bobholz. On March 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to Arnold Daye at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Friesland. Edna was confirmed in April 1935 and was a lifelong member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church. She also participated in the Ladies Aide. She held many jobs; HandCraft in Princeton, Kolpins in Fox Lake, PMI in Markesan and seasonal employment at the local canning factory in Cambria.
Edna is survived by three children, Julienne (Delmer) Slager of Cambria, Linda (Wayne) Vander Galien of Randolph and James Daye of Cambria; Five grandchildren, Mary Medina, Bill (Kim) Vander Galien, Becky (Paul) Roberts, Josh (Dawn) Vander Galien and Sarah (Mike) Grieger; Thirteen great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold on October 25, 1979; a granddaughter, Amy Jo Slager; siblings; Amanda Witthun, Edwin Bobholz, Arnold Bobholz and Frances Tessmann.
Funeral services for Edna will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, July 10, 2015 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 First Street, Friesland, with Pastor John Unnasch officiating. Visitation will be held on Friday at church from 9 A.M. until the hour of service. Burial will follow at the Friesland cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Golden Living-Continental Manor of Randolph and Hillside Hospice of Beaver Dam.
