David Earl Hausinger

David Earl Hausinger, age 69 of Markesan, passed away at his home with his wife and daughters by his side on Wednesday, June 10, 2015.

Born May 27, 1946, a son of the late Norbert and Verona (Budde) Hausinger. He married his high school sweetheart Cassandra (Floeter) Hausinger on September 12, 1964 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manchester. Dave was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Salemville and served on the church council. He worked for 32 years at Del Monte in Markesan and retired at the age of 55. He also had a small hobby farm and raised hogs. Dave enjoyed bowling, badger hockey games, deer hunting, gardening and golfing. He and Sandy took joy in spending time with their grandchildren and watching them participate in all of their sports and activities.

He loved vacationing with his family every summer and traveling to college hockey's Frozen Four. He also enjoyed doing fieldwork for Muehlenhaupt farms, especially the corn harvest.

Dave is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sandy; 2 Daughters, Carrie (Rich) Haight of St. Louis, MO and Vicky (Dan) Zacharias of Delavan, WI; 5 Grandchildren, Spencer, Sam and Nicholas Haight; Payton and Carter Zacharias; an Aunt, Bernice Hausinger; Cousins, Karen (Barry) Lay, Susan (Larry) Flaws, Jeff (Joanne) Hausinger, Greg (Shannon) Hausinger and Maxine (Bill) Trotz; 3 brothers-in-law, Keith Floeter, Jeff (Sandy) Floeter and Joe (Pam) Floeter; 3 sisters-in-law, Diann Henning, Carla (Mike) Wendt and Diane Lemiesz; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jody Hausinger; his parents; his in-laws, Arden and Helen Floeter; an uncle, Joe Hausinger; an aunt, Etta Dolgner; a brother-in-law, Rick Floeter and a niece, Brittany Quade.

Funeral services for Dave will be held on Monday, June 15, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church, N483 County Road M, Salemville, with Pastor Frank Rose officiating. Burial will follow at Salemville Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 North Margaret Street, Markesan and on Monday, June 15, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at church.

A memorial fund has been established in Dave's name.
