Constance Patricia Vande Slunt

Constance (Connie) Patricia Vande Slunt, 56, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2015, at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac, WI, following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born July 27, 1958, in Madison, WI, the daughter of Carl Ellsworth and Elizabeth Jeanne (Schyska) Austin. She married Larry D. Vande Slunt on September 3, 1991, in Fond du Lac, WI.
Connie enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a receptionist at Agnesian Healthcare in Fond du Lac, WI, where she brightened the days of her patients and co-workers. Her infectious laugh, caring personality, and upbeat attitude was loved and admired by her patients and co-workers. She enjoyed gardening, birdwatching, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her loving husband of 28 years, Larry, her son, Joseph and his wife, Molly, siblings Tim (Theresa) Austin of Stoughton, WI; Kevin Austin of Stoughton, WI; Carla (Don) Ruebl of Willisburg, KY; Kathleen (Mike) Traut of Madison, WI; Carolyn (Doug) Jones of Darlington, WI; and Celeste (Brian Albrecht) Olson of Neuville, WI. She is also survived by numerous other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Gerrit, and her sisters Claire and Christine.

Visitation services will be Sunday, March 29, from 2-6pm, at the Kohl’s Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, in Waupun. A celebration of life will be held Monday, March 30 at 11am at Grace Reformed Church, 163 18th Street, in Fond du Lac. Pastor Barry Vegter will officiate.
