Margaret M. Henke

Margaret Mae Henke, age 90 of Markesan passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at her residence surrounded by family.

Margaret was born on September 16, 1924 in the town of Lamartine, daughter of Edward and Ione (Lyons) Miller. On January 25, 1946 she was united in marriage to Harvey Henke.

Margaret is survived by her four children, Joyce Pierce of Fond du lac, Stephen Henke and special friend Jessi of Markesan, Stanley Henke of Markesan and Shirley Henke of Fox Lake; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; brother-in-law Robert (Velma) Henke of Wisconsin Rapids, sister-in-law Albertha Witt of Fond du lac; nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harvey in 2009; two sons, Harvey Jr. (Sue) Henke and William (Rose) Henke; son-in-law Gerald Pierce; three sisters and one brother.

A funeral service for Margaret will be held at 11 A.M. on January 24, 2015 at Markesan Community Funeral Home, 868 N. Margaret Street, Markesan, with Rev. Jason Jobs officiating. Burial will follow in the Mackford Union Cemetery in the township of Mackford.

Visitation will be held on January 23, 2015 from 5-7 P.M. at Markesan Community Funeral Home and on January 24th from 10 A.M. until the hour of service.

Memorial Fund is to be established in Margaret’s name.
