Darlene Floy Rostyne

Darlene Floy Rostyne, age 87 of Waupun, went to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Christian Home of Waupun.

Darlene was born on July 28, 1927 in Eden, Wisconsin, a daughter of Everett and Viola (Green) Snyder. On November 17, 1945 she was united in marriage to Clarence Rostyne in Brandon, Wisconsin. Darlene had a big heart; she was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother that was always there for family and friends. Darlene was a homemaker who worked alongside her husband on their dairy farm in the Brandon area for many years. She had a love for her song birds and enjoyed flower gardening. Darlene looked forward to spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Darlene is survived by two sons, John (Carole) Rostyne of Rosendale and Todd (Laura) Rostyne of Waupun; four grandchildren, Teresa (Gary) Hass, Jason Mulder of Neenah, Joseph Rostyne of Aurora, IL and Daniel Rostyne of Waupun; four great-grandchildren, Cailyn Hass and Camryn Hass; Graham Mulder and Rhiley Mulder; five sisters, Joyce Vermeer of Waupun, Ruth Stobb of Ripon, Phyllis Stobb of Waupun and Margaret (John) Hoekstra of Waupun; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, Jon Rostyne; two granddaughters, Carissa Noelle Hass and Angela Mulder; a brother-in-law, Warren Stobb; two sisters, Ruby and Hazel Bly and five brothers, Lyle, Ronnie, Roger, Tommy and Wayne Snyder.

A celebration of Darlene’s life will be held on Monday, January 12, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun, with Pastor Tim Carlton and Pastor Richard Balken officiating. Burial to follow at East Ladoga Cemetery in Lamartine.

Darlene’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Kohls Community Funeral Home.
