Geraldine Mae Wendlandt, age 87, of Randolph passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
Geraldine was born on June 3, 1927 in Beaver Dam, WI, a daughter of Elmer and Leona (Messer) Kluge. On September 24, 1947 she was united in marriage to Robert Wendlandt at St. John’s Lutheran Church in the township of Trenton, WI. On Wednesday, September 24, 2014 she would have celebrated 67 years of marriage. She was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church since marriage. Geraldine enjoyed gardening and flowers very much. She also enjoyed visiting with neighbors and friends and loved spending time with her family.
Geraldine is survived by her husband, Robert Wendlandt; a daughter, Kristine Sebert of Princeton; a daughter, Phyllis (Thomas) Eilbes of Beaver Dam; a son, David (Lois) Wendlandt of Randolph; a sister, Irene (Harold) Christian; a sister-in-law, Jane Thieleke; four grandchildren, Carolyn (Joshua) Huenink, Timothy Eilbes(special friends Tammy & Aaliyah White), Kyle (Jessica) Wendlandt and Jordan (Megan) Wendlandt; four great-grandchildren, Lauryn and Kristyn Huenink and Ben and Anna Eilbes, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son-in-law, Thomas Sebert; and a brother-in-law, Allen Thieleke.
A celebration of Geraldine’s life will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, 335 Jones Drive, Randolph, with Rev. Daniel Schumann officiating. A committal service will follow at Randolph Cemetery.
Geraldine’s family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at Randolph Community Funeral Home,208 South High Street, Randolph , from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service.
A memorial fund will be established in Geraldine’s name.
