Marian E. Jaremba

Marian Eleanor Jaremba, age 79 of Waupun, passed away in her home surrounded by family on September 8, 2014 due to her courageous battle with ovarian cancer.

Marian was born on the first month, thirteenth day, 1935 in Boscobel, a daughter of Peter and Elizabeth (Wolff) Marschie. On May 16, 1953 she was united in marriage to Leo Jaremba. She was a housewife and mother of eight. Her and her husband farmed for most of their lives. She was a resident of the Waupun area for the past 30 years. Marian enjoyed gardening (both vegetables and flowers), she was an expert pie maker and enjoyed baking bread and canning her vegetables from the garden. She loved playing games on her kindle, listening to her old albums and enjoyed doing her word search puzzles. She loved all of her children, grandchildren and great granddaughter unconditionally and when asked what her fondest memories were, she would tell you the years that the children were growing up. Family was the single most important thing in her life.

Marian is survived by eight children, Shirley Otto, Ralph Jaremba, Linda (Larry) Hamilton, all of Waupun, Allen (Tracy) Jaremba of Beaver Dam, Jeanette (Mitch) Rohr and Jackie (Mike) Seipp both of Waupun, Laurie (David) Cluppert of Brandon, and Sandra (Gerald-Jr) Gutmann of Waupun; 10 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; 1 sister Doris (Wayne) Schwark of Waupun; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, 1 grandson George Jaremba, 3 brothers Kenneth Marschie, her twin brother Marvin Marschie and Glen Marschie.

A celebration of Marian’s life will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 525 West Main Street Waupun, with Rev. Elizabeth Lee officiating. A committal service will follow at Forest Mound Cemetery.

Marian’s family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street Waupun, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Friday, September 12, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service at Immanuel Lutheran Church.

In Lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established in Marian’s name.
