Nora C. Kamp
Nora Kamp, 99, of Waupun passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at her home.
Nora was born on May 16, 1915 in Columbia County, a daughter of August and Anna (Staple) Schmaltz. On August 21, 1943 she was united in marriage to Wilson Kamp in Keokuk, Iowa. Nora was a member of the Pella Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aide of the church and the quilting club of the church. She was formerly employed with Mid-State Shoe Manufacturing for several years, before becoming a homemaker to raise their children and care for their home. Nora also enjoyed crocheting and various other forms of sewing.
Nora is survived by two daughters Jayne (Jon) Kaufman of Waupun, Janet (Michael) Schade of Cedarburg; a son Jerrold (Barbara) Kamp of Warrensburg, MO; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wilson, parents, two sisters Verona Pickhardt and Evelyn (John) Kern; two brothers her twin, Norbert Schmaltz and Gordon Schmaltz; a grandson Eric Schade.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 South Madison Street, Waupun.
Nora’s Family will receive family and friends on Monday, July 28, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Burial to follow after service at Highland Memory Garden.
A memorial fund has been directed to Pella Lutheran Church.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Rick Parrish and his nurse Joyce as well as St. Agnes Hospital Hospice Hope for all of their help.
