Clara Suzan Gaile Brown

Clara Suzan Gaile Brown, age 67, died on Monday, June 9, 2014,
at her residence in Waupun, surrounded by family.

Family and friends may visit the Freck Funeral Chapel, 1155 S Wynn Road, Oregon, Ohio on Tuesday June 17 from 2-8 p.m. where services will be held at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

A memorial service will be held on July 1st, 2014 at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 S Madison St., Waupun. Check back later for full details.

She was born on December 1, 1946, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Clifford and Fannie (Kanavel) Scharer. After graduating from Erie Mason High School in 1964, Clara joined the U.S. Army, serving in Germany. On June 6, 1970, Clara married Richard Atwell Brown in Ohio.

She worked as a telephone operator for many years. Clara attended Monroe County Community College graduating with an associate degree. She was employed at Ialacci Enterprise Inc. as an office manager for 17 years. Clara passionately enjoyed quilting and cross stitching.

Clara is survived by her son, William (Molly) Brown, Toledo, OH, her daughter, Amy Brown, Waupun, WI, four grandchildren: Andrea (J.R.), Bryan, Steven and Richard “Ricky” Brown, a great-granddaughter, McKenna Davis and three brothers: Ronald (Carol) Scharer, Donald Scharer, both of Florida, and Frank (Lana) Scharer, Toledo, OH, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard in 2006, three brothers: Edward (Donna) Scharer, Lawrence (June) Scharer, and Robert Scharer, her sister, Juanita (Kenneth) Lloyd, and her sister-in-law Mary.
