Debra Ann Froehlich, age 60 of Friesland, died on May 8, 2014 at the Christian Home in Waupun.
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 101 First Street, Friesland.
Debra's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday at the church from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
Debra Ann Froehlich was born on October 27, 1953 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, daughter to Ervin and Phyllis (Covey) Baniel. On October 9th, 1955 Debra was baptized into the Christian faith by Pastor Stay of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Oshkosh. She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in 1969 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Auroraville, WI. Debra graduated from Berlin High School in 1973. Debra and James D. Froehlich exchanged wedding vows at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friesland, WI on June 20, 1990. They lived in Rural Cambria until they moved to Friesland in 1994. Deb had started her working career as a waitress until getting a job as a CNA at the Continental Manor in Randolph, WI. When she met James she became a farm wife. Not long after she started at the Waupun Christian Home, until finally moving to the Markesan Resident Home where she then worked for 10 years. Her hobbies included sewing, scrap booking, and motorcycling in which she was a member of the Madison Star Chapter 166. While there she participated in Feed the Children, Volunteered at star events, and was also a member of (LOS) Ladies of Star. While being a member some trips included were to Billings MT, Branson MO, Reno NV, and Harrisburg PA.
Debra is survived by her husband, James; two sons: Vincent Rowen (Sara Miller & Julius); Justin Froehlich; and also her Step-son: Matthew (Molly) Froehlich; Step-grandson: Brantley Froehlich. Her Mother: Phyllis (Ron) Schultz; Father and Mother-in-law: Donald (Lois) Froehlich. She is also survived by her Brother: Buddy (Rose) Baniel; Sisters: Lynn (Richard) Boening, Diane Baniel; Sister-in-laws: Cindy (John) Pierce, Diane (Paul) Vander Galien; Brother-in-law: Donnie (Marsha) Froehlich. Further survivors are her special family sisters: Marilee (Scott) Nelson and family; Monalee (Steve) Williams and family; 6 nieces, 4 nephews and friends.
