Florence Laura Baierl

Florence Laura Baierl, age 94 of Waupun, died on Tuesday, February 04, 2014, at the Christian Home in Waupun.

Florence was born on January 25, 1920, a daughter of Gustav and Amelia Winterhack.
She graduated from Waupun High School, and on September 16, 1939, she married Sylvester Baierl at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun. Florence cherished the role of a homemaker caring for her children and spending time with grand and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing, embroidering and fishing with the family. Florence was a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Waupun.

Florence is survived by her five children: Kathleen (Lynn) Strub of Port Orange, FL; Dennis (Joan) Baierl, of Saukville; Karen (John) Cornette of Green Bay; James (Karen) Baierl, of Waupun; Charles Baierl and special friend Anne Flasch of Ripon; 11 Grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband and grandson Jeff Strub. Four Brothers: Art, George, Harold and Alfred Winterhack and three sisters: Lil Jahnke, Esther Hanisch and Eda Dunn.

A Funeral Mass for Florence will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, February 7, 2014, at St Joseph’s Catholic Church, 118 West Main Street, Waupun with Father Michael Wild officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery.

Florence’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday beginning at 11 A.M. until the hour of service.

A memorial fund has been established in Florence’s name.
