June was born in the Town of Oxford, Wisconsin on June 28, 1932. She was the daughter of David and Sarah (Foote) Smith. On November 7, 1953, she married Gordon Bengsch, and they lived in Westfield, moving to Waupun in 1966 where she resided until her passing. June was a loving wife who devoted herself to caring for her family. She was a supporter of the barbershop chorus, Harmony Kings, attending her husband and son’s performances. June also volunteered many hours promoting this group and their annual concert. Following Gordon’s retirement, the couple enjoyed attending car shows on weekends, and traveling to every state in the contingent United States. They just celebrated 60 wonderful years of marriage.

June is survived by her husband Gordon, her son, Bob and his wife Sherry Bengsch of Waupun, her grandson Adam and his wife Jennifer, his granddaughter Sara, five great-grandchildren: Carissa, Karley, Brody, Bailey and Brianna, her sister, Judy Larson, Westfield, and two nephews, Rick and Mark Larson, other relatives and friends.

June was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother-in-law, LeRoy Larson.
