Carol Catherine Mages

Carol Catherine Mages, age 74 of Waupun and formerly of Milwaukee, died on Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at the Christian Home and Rehabilitation in Waupun.

Services are at 4 P.M. on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W Main Street, Waupun, with Chaplain Wick Hubers officiating. Burial will be on Monday at Graceland Cemetery in Milwaukee.

Carol’s family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 2 P.M. until the hour of services.

Carol was born on September 27, 1939 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Otto and Catherine (Opitz) Marcussen. On July 5, 1961 she married Peter Mages who preceded her in death in 1976. Carol was united in marriage to Marlyn “Knute” Knutson who also preceded her. Carol was a dance teacher in Milwaukee for fifty years. She was a dedicated Brewers fan; her favorite player was Ryan Braun. Carol was able to enjoy many games this summer with her family. She enjoyed her Las Vegas trips with Michael and Michele as well as a once in a lifetime cruise with Kenny and Jean.

Carol is survived by one son, Michael Mages, of Rosendale one daughter, Michele (Jeff) Pfeiffer; Rosendale, a sister-in-law Jean Marcussen, wife of Kenneth, a niece, Jenny (Tim) Miller, a nephew, Dan (Jen) Marcussen; a cousin Joyce and her daughter Melody Mattner, and Lloyd Bernhardt; many other nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
