Lois Marie Huizenga

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Randolph United Methodist Church, 227 North High Street, Randolph, officiated by Pastor Mary Balson.

Relatives and friends may visit Lois’ family on Saturday at the church beginning at 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Lois was born on May 23, 1930 in Randolph, a daughter of Arvin and Blanche (Walker) Umbreit. Following her graduation from Randolph High School in 1948, Lois worked at Rockwell International as an office manager. She was united in marriage to Eric Huizenga on March 3,1951who preceded her in death on May 7, 2013. Following her employment at Rockwell, Lois worked at Jungs Seed Company in customer service, catalogue design, and as a proofreader. Lois was a lifelong Randolph resident and member of the Randolph United Methodist Church.

Lois enjoyed the pastime of working on large jigsaw puzzles. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her strength and courage was an inspiration and she will be dearly missed.

Lois is survived by her sister-in-law, Annette Umbreit, nieces and nephews, and friends.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her son Lynn in 1997, and her brother, Lyle Umbreit.
