Megan A. Forbes Nee Horton

Megan Ashley Forbes, nee Horton, died on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at First Reformed Church, 406 S High Street, Randolph, with Rev. Tim Ehrhardt officiating. Burial will follow in the Randolph Cemetery.

Megan’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

The family asks in lieu of flowers or gifts, donations be made to a memorial fund being established for Megan’s children either at the time of service or by contacting [email protected] .

Megan Ashley Forbes, nee Horton, age 27 of Beaver Dam, died on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison.

Megan was born on April 3, 1986 in Madison, a daughter of Reuben and Jane (Haima) Horton. Megan attended Randolph Elementary School and after graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 2006, she attended UW Fond du Lac, obtaining her associate degree. She worked as a C.N.A. in Beaver Dam. Megan found relaxation in figure skating, wrote captivating short stories, beautiful poems, and was a talented artist and musician. Much of her work was inspired by the deep joy she found in her children. Megan also loved animals and was to start as a Animal Lab Technician apprentice.

Megan is survived by her two sons: Elijah Michael Forbes, Evan Daniel Forbes, her daughter, Jiana Marie Forbes, her parents Reuben and Jane Horton, Randolph, five siblings: Michael (Adina) Horton, Randolph, David (Danna) Horton, Washington D.C. metro, Aaron, (Cheyenne) Horton, Beaver Dam, Julee Lawler, Randolph, Derek (Stephanie) Horton, Fond du Lac. She is further survived by James Forbes, the father of her children, Randolph, thirteen nieces and nephews, two great-nieces, aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends and her best friend Samantha Martinie.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Clayton and Cora Horton, Erwin and Jennie Haima.

Randolph Community Funeral Home is serving the family.
