Gertrude Knight

By God’s Sovereign loving hand, after 92 blessed years, Gertrude Konings Knight went to be with the Lord peacefully in the exceptionally compassionate and loving care of Marvin’s Manor on August 8, 2013. She was born May 10, 1921, in Waupun, eldest daughter of William and Annie (Kwakkel) Konings. She graduated from Waupun High School in 1939 and worked for Wisconsin Bell Telephone for seven years. She married William J Knight on April 11, 1947 at Emmanuel Reformed Church in Waupun.
She is survived by three sons; Jonathan of Mooresville, NC, Alan (Vicki) and Nathan of rural Montello, four grandchildren, Adam of Phoenix, AZ, Jennifer of Denver, Co, Erica & Steven of Charlotte, NC, one Sister, Helen Hoffman of rural Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband William in 1991, her parents, two brothers Alvin and Harris, and one Sister, Irene Mullica (2009).
A memorial service will be held at Emmanuel Reformed Church, 400 West Brown Street in Waupun on August 24 at 11:00 am with Pastor Calvin Vande Zande officiating. Friends and relatives may call on the family at 10:00 am until the service, with luncheon to follow the service.
