Margaret Christine Rahn

Margaret Christine Rahn, age 76 of Randolph, died on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at First Reformed Church, 406 S High Street, Randolph with Rev. Tim Ehrhardt officiating.
Burial will follow in the Randolph Cemetery.

Margaret’s family and friends will receive relatives and friends at the church from 3:30 – 7 p.m. on Tues. July 2, and on Wed. from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Memorial gifts have been designated for Child Evangelism Fellowship and the Gideons.

Margaret was born on July 9, 1936 in Dodge County, the daughter of John and Minnie (Buwalda) Evers. She graduated from Cambria High School in 1954 and worked for the Ideal Shoe Factory and Rockwell International. Margie was a lifelong member of First Reformed Church in Randolph, where she taught Sunday School many years and participated in the women’s ministry programs. She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior when she was 23. After that day she had a passion for children and taught Good News Club for thirty years. On April 19, 1958, she was united in marriage to Elwood Rahn at the First Reformed Church in Randolph. They were foster parents, caring for two brothers as their own. Margie was employed by Jungs Seed Company for the past forty growing seasons. She enjoyed reading, bike riding, and playing her organ for personal worship.

Margie is survived by two sons, Rohan Forkner, Australia, and Ronald Forkner, Florida, two grandchildren, Amber (Mike) Pelegrino and Justin Forkner, her sister, Fran (Harold) DeVries, Randolph, her brother, John (Jane) Evers, Columbus, her close friend, Carol (Robert) Herold, Whitewater, sisters-in-law, Joan (Tom) Evers, Rena (Ed) Evers, and Carol (Joe) Neis, brothers-in-law, Ormand Vinning and Wayne Rahn, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joe in 2010, three brothers, and five sisters.
