Norman F. Hermann

Norman Fredrick Hermann, age 63 of Mrkesan, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2013 at Waupun Memorial Hospital with family at his side.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Markesan Bible church, 60 W Margaret Street, Markesan, with Pastor Levi Snyder officiating. Burial will be at Salemville Cemetery, in the town of Manchester, Green Lake County, WI, with Military Honors provided by Markesan American Legion Post 282.

Norm’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Thursday from 9 a.m. until the hour of service.
Special thanks from Norms’ family to Pastor Snyder for his visits, and to Jim Talma, the staff of the Barrett House, Dr. Kumar, and the 2nd floor nurses at Waupun Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care given to Norm both recently and over the past few years.

Norman was born on April 1, 1950 in Beaver Dam, a son of Arnold and Ardis (Roeseler) Hermann. Following his graduation from Cambria High School in 1968, Norman entered into service with the U.S. Army. He served in Vietnam and Germany for five years. Norman was then employed at Del Monte in Markesan for 30 years where he was a fork lift driver. He was a longtime Markesan resident, and was formerly active on the city council, serving on the Planning, Zoning, and Variance Committee. He was a volunteer for June Dairy Days, and looked forward to this annual event. Norman was a loyal fan of Markesan Sports teams and enjoyed attending ball games. He also enjoyed driving bus for the school district for many years. As a sports fan, Norman faithfully watched and cheered on the Badgers, Brewers and Packers.

Norman is survived by his mother, Ardis Hermann of Cambria, four sisters: Vicki (Kurt) Heitmann, Randolph, Nancy (Dave) Huebner, Columbus, Karla (Dan) Hupf, Beaver Dam, Jo Ann Price, Janesville, two brothers: Bill Hermann, Cambria and Edward Hermann, Randolph, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father and two nephews: Colter Farrell and Justin Jenkins.
