William Laurenz Van Dellen

February 22, 1928 — March 13, 2013

William Lorenz Van Dellen, age 85 of Plymouth and formerly of Randolph, died on Wed. March 13, 2013 at Sharon Richardson Community Hospice in Plymouth, WI.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at the First Reformed Church, 406 S. High St, Randolph, officiated by Rev. Tim Ehrhardt. Burial will follow at the Randolph Cemetery.
William’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Saturday from 12 noon until the hour of service.

William Laurenz Van Dellen was born on February 22, 1928, in Chicago, the oldest son of Ralph and Isabelle (Morrison) Van Dellen.

He graduated from Randolph High School and was a member of the National Guard. On June 30, 1950, he was united in marriage to Marjorie Vander Meer in Randolph. They ran Froz-N-Food Lockers in Randolph for thirty years. William was active in the Randolph Kiwanis and was a past president. While living in Randolph, the couple belonged to the First Reformed Church, where William also served as a Deacon. In 1978, the couple moved to Wausau where they owned and operated “Easy Meat Processing,” and later retired to Tavares, Florida. Most recently, they moved back to Wisconsin, and have been residing in Plymouth. William enjoyed golfing, coin collecting, and was an avid Chicago Bears Fan.

William is survived by Marjorie, his wife of 62 years and four children: Debra Van Dellen (Tom Dornfield), Hudson, WI; Ned Van Dellen, Minneapolis, MN; Timothy (Joellen) Van Dellen and Mary Doherty, all of Plymouth, WI. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Daniel (Stephanie) Van Dellen, David Van Dellen; Michael, Tyler and Ben Schuldt; one great grandson Beckett Van Dellen; and two step-grandchildren, Kurt and Ryan Krippendorf. William had one brother, Ralph (Phyllis) Van Dellen, Jr. of Berlin, WI; and in-laws: Edith Navis Merrill, Melvin (Donna) Vander Meer, and Richard (Diane) Vander Meer. He was preceded in death by his and Marjorie’s parents, a son Stephen, and in-laws Charlotte and George Vander Werff, and John Navis.
