Hazel Louise Raube, age 86 of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at Fountain View Nursing Home in Ripon.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 107 S Prairie St. Brandon, with Pastor Bob Rosenberg officiating. Burial will follow in the Brandon Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the church on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund is being established in Hazel’s name.
Hazel’s family wishes to thank the staffs of Generations Home Care and Hospice and Fountain View Nursing Home for their compassionate care of Hazel.
Hazel was born on December 28, 1926 in the Town of Clayton, WI, a daughter to Allen and Marie (Langner) Ludemann. She graduated from Neenah High School and on November 27, 1955 she was united in marriage to William Raube at Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah. They farmed near the Brandon area for many years. Hazel was a very special lady with a heart of gold. She volunteered her time with the Springvalley 4 – H for several years. Hazel enjoyed belonging to the Willow Lane Homemakers and playing cards. She was a longtime member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where she was involved in the Christian Fellowship Group and the ELCW.
Hazel is survived by her loving daughter, Annette Raube, nieces and nephews, and special friends, Wally and Carol Miller, Dean and Michelle Miller family, Mark Miller, Brian and Jennifer Taplin family and her grand dog Rocksy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters: Leona (Earl) Timm, Laverne (Walter) Grosnick, and Clara Ludemann.
