Norman Morris Kindschuh, age 94 of Waupun, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Waupun Memorial Hospital, with his family at his side.
Private family services will be held at Kohls Community Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens.
A special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Waupun Dialysis Center who were a regular part of Norman’s world for the past five years.
Norman was born on April 9, 1918 in the Town of Byron, a son to Edward and Frieda (Henning) Kindschuh. On April 8, 1939, he was united in marriage to Eleanor Rokicki in the parsonage of Pella Lutheran Church. They farmed side by side near Waupun for over 30 years, retiring to the city in 1973. In his retirement, Norman enjoyed playing cards and painting saw blades. Norman was a dedicated family man and enjoyed spending time with his two grandsons, Matt and Ryan. He was a people person who enjoyed visiting with others. He was a longtime member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun.
Norman is survived by his beloved daughter, Kathleen and her husband Wayne Gibbs, Beaver Dam, two grandsons; Matthew and his wife Rabecca Gibbs, Fond du Lac, and Ryan Gibbs, Beaver Dam, his great-granddaughter, Addelyn, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor, a daughter, Priscilla Ann, a son, David, a brother, Roger Kindschuh, and a sister, Ethel Semrau.
Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun is assisting the family.
