Jeanette Fisher Deboer

April 16, 1924 — December 17, 2012

Jeanette Fisher-DeBoer, age 88 of Waupun, formerly of Randolph, entered eternal life surrounded by her loving family, on Monday, December 17, at Prairie Ridge.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, December 21, 2012 at First Christian Reformed Church, N8876 East Friesland Road, Randolph, with Rev. Ken Prol officiating. Burial will follow in the Friesland Cemetery.
Jeanette’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Friday beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund has been established in Jeanette’s name.
Jeanette was born on April 16, 1924 in the Town of Randolph, Columbia County, WI, the daughter of Peter and Etje (Streekstra) Westra. She attended Randolph Christian School, and worked at the Kohler Company during World War II. On April 16, 1943, she was united in marriage to Frank S. Fisher. Jeanette dedicated her life to her family; a devoted wife and loving mother who delighted in her children, grandchildren, great - grandchildren and anticipated the birth of a great-great grandson in April. Frank preceded her in death in 1979. She married Gerrit DeBoer in 1992 and he preceded her in 2007. Jeanette was a lifelong member of First Randolph Christian Reformed Church. She loved flowers, classical music and was a voracious reader.
Jeanette is survived by her six children: Eloise “Trix” Daane, Marcia (Larry) Dykstra, Kathy (Dennis) Geier, Steve (Karen) Fisher, Rita (Jeff) Greiner and Pam (Neal) Hendrickson, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, her sister, Harriet Wierenga and sister-in-law, Theresa Westra. She is further survived by five stepchildren: Betty (Don) De Young, Gary (Chris) DeBoer, Norma (Dale) Van Buren, Bernie (Al) Rouse and Pete (Sandy) DeBoer, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank, her second husband Gerrit, her daughter Krista, a son-in-law, Larry Daane, four brothers: Andrew, Edward, Henry, Herman and two sisters: Grace Tamminga and Agnes Douma.
Jeanette’s family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Timmermans, the staff at Prairie Ridge and Hillside Hospice for their dedication to the quality care of their mother Jeanette.
