Dorothy Marie Waterworth, 94, of Randolph, formerly of Waupun and Milwaukee, died on Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Golden Living Center in Randolph.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 19, at Randolph Community Funeral Home, 208 S. High St., Randolph. Burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery.
Visitation will be held prior to service on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Dorothy’s family thanks the staff of the Golden Living Center in Randolph for the compassionate care and support throughout the past three years.
Dorothy was born on Feb. 24, 1918 in Randolph, the daughter of Albert and Margaret (Wesner) Zieman. She was a graduate of Randolph High School in 1935. In 1937 Dorothy married Vernon Waterworth, who preceded her in death.
Dorothy was a former member of the United Methodist Church of Waupun and was a member at the Randolph United Methodist Church for the past few years. Dorothy loved to play cards with friends. She was well known for baking molasses cookies and apple pies. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends to various places.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Jane (Don) Burkhart, Ill., her brother, Ken Zieman, Randolph, six grandchildren: Lynn (Ki) Moller, Madison, PJ (Jana) Slinger, Madison, Andy (Terry Lien) Slinger, Minn., Nikki (Justin) Schroeder, Minn., Heidi Burkhart, Ill., Heather Burkhart King, Ill., seven great-grandchildren, one son-in-law, Phil Slinger, Green Bay; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon in 1985; daughter Marilyn Slinger; two sisters: Norma Vorlop and Margaret Schnur, four brothers: Clayton, Harold, Merv and Orlie Zieman.
