Ann "Annie" Vanderbush

Annie Joyce Vanderbush, age 78 of Waupun, died Thursday, November 8, 2012 at the Waupun Memorial Hospital surrounded by family and lifelong friends.
Annie was born on December 12, 1933, a daughter of Robert and Ella (Stull) Kottnitz. On June 26, 1954 she married James Vanderbush at the Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun, WI. Ann was employed at the Shoe Factory for many years and worked at Judson’s Bowling Alley as a bartender and custodian at the bowling alley and church. Annie spent a lot of her time watching her grandchildren and babysitting other children. She enjoyed spending time with friends going out to lunch, having coffee and shopping. Annie would give the shirt off her back and go the extra mile for others, always lending a helping hand or even an ear to listen. The doors of Annie’s home were always open to anyone at anytime. She was a devoted Christian and a lifetime member of Pella Lutheran Church.
Annie is survived by seven children, Sheri (Vance) Glewen, Markesan; Dennis (Donna) Vanderbush, Waupun; Dani (Jeff) Rasmussen, Waupun; Robyn Vanderbush, Waupun; Kimberly (Brian) Gauthier, Oshkosh; Melissa (Mike) Jahn, Waupun; Rebecca Vanderbush, Waupun; Fifteen grandchildren; Fourteen great-grandchildren. She is further survived by two sisters, Sharon Godwin, North Carolina and Virginia Beske, Beaver Dam, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter Penny, her brother Richard Kottnitz and two sisters Paula Magnussen and Roberta Garb.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 12, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Pella Lutheran Church, 315 S. Madison Street, Waupun, WI with Rev. Michael Stock officiating. Burial will follow in the Cattaraugus Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 4-7 p.m. at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main Street, Waupun and on Monday, November 12th at Pella Lutheran Church at 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
