Jeanette Tetzlaff, age 94 of Waupun, died on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Christian Home in Waupun.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Bethel Reformed Church, 305 West Main Street, Brandon, with Rev. John Tilstra officiating. Burial will be in Forest Mound Cemetery in Waupun.
Jeanette’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Jeanette was born on April 8, 1918 in the town of Alto, a daughter of Edward and Anna (Wallendal) Harmsen. On August 19, 1939, Jeanette was united in marriage to Ward Tetzlaff in Brandon. The couple farmed in the Waupun area until 1956 when they moved to the city of Waupun. Jeanette was employed by the former Ideal Shoe Company in Waupun. She enjoyed gardening, especially planting lots of flowers. She also enjoyed camping trips to Little Green Lake. Jeanette was a longtime member of Bethel Reformed Church in Brandon.
Jeanette is survived by her brother, Edwin Harmsen, Waupun, a sister-in-law, Betty Vande Zande, a brother-in-law, Earl Tetzlaff, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Ward in 1992, three sisters; Henrietta (Garrit) Vande Berg, Agnes (Floyd) Henning, Anna (Peter) Buteyn, one brother, Arthur (Thelma) Harmsen, sisters-in-law; Elaine Harmsen, Flossie (Ray) Berndt, Glorine (Pat) Oligney, brothers-in-law; Lester (Lois) Tetzlaff, Billy (Frieda) Tetzlaff, Jim (Juanita) Tetzlaff, and Melvin Vande Zande.
