Duane Lawrence Perry

Duane Lawrence Perry, age 80 of Waupun, died on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at his residence.

A celebration of Duane’s Life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Faith Bible Church, 200 Fox Lake Road, Waupun with Pastor’s Lisa and Wayne Morrison officiating.

Duane's family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday at the church beginning at 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

.Duane was born on May 6, 1932 in Dodge County, Wisconsin, the son of George “Albee” Perry and Florence (née Owen). Duane had a sparkle in his eyes and a bright smile. He was friendly and outgoing. He loved to tell stories about his time in the Navy.

He graduated from Waupun High School in 1950. He joined the United States Navy from 1955 to 1957 as a photographer in the Pacific Ocean.

He was united in marriage to Priscilla Isken on Feb. 25, 1956 at St. Johns Lutheran in Lomira, WI.

Duane was employed and retired from Giddings and Lewis in Fond du Lac. His occupations over the years included machinist, farming, mechanic, MIG welder, and truck driver. He also loved to invent and even had some patents.

Duane was a member of Faith Bible Church in Waupun.

Duane is survived by his wife of 56 years, Priscilla; son, Scott Perry of Waupun; daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Morrison of Waupun; five grandchildren, Lindsey (John) Pieper, Joseph Roe, Andrew (Samantha) Brown, Mabel Roe, Anna Elizabeth Brown; a great-grandson, Matthew Brown; brother, Kenneth (Betty) Perry of Fox Lake; sister, Lucille (Gordon) Schultz of Beaver Dam; nieces, nephews, and other loved ones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Ellen Perry; and son-in-law, Michael Brown.

Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun, is serving the family.
