Elizabeth Harriet Hopkins

Elizabeth Harriet Hopkins, age 86, of Waupun, died on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Marvin’s Manor in Waupun.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main Street, Waupun, with a visitation beginning at 1 p.m. A private burial will be in the Oakwood Cemetery in Berlin, WI.

Memorial’s in Betty’s name may be directed to Agnesian Healthcare Hospice Hope, 239 Trowbridge Drive, Fond du Lac, WI 54935.

Betty was born on January 20, 1925 at Berlin, WI, the daughter of Willis and Bernice (Weeks) Hopkins. She was a lifelong Waupun area resident attending Waupun schools. Following her graduation from Waupun High School in 1943, Betty began employment with National Rivet and Manufacturing Co. She worked in the office for 44 years, retiring in 1987. Betty was a longtime member of Waupun United Methodist Church, and an active member of the United Methodist Women and Rachel Circle. She formerly belonged to the Rebekah Lodge where she was past Noble Grand. Other community groups Betty regularly attended was the UIC of Norwest Bank and Waupun Area AARP #3939.

Betty is survived by her care giver and friend, Linda Mittelstaedt, Waupun, and by cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
