Orin Marvin Barsch, age 85 of Waupun, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 8, 2012 at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, at Pella Lutheran Church, 315 S. Madison Street, Waupun, with Rev. Michael Stock officiating. Burial will follow in the Burnett Central Cemetery.
Orin’s family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Wednesday beginning at 9 a.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund is being established in Orin’s name.
Orin was born on March 14, 1927 in Burnett, a son of Emil and Lily (Luebke) Barsch. He attended Burnett Central School thru 8th grade, and then was needed on the farm. On October 21, 1967, Orin was united in marriage to Lois Hinz at Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun. He was employed as a mechanic for Landaal Brothers Implement for many years. He later worked for Maly Implement and Friday Canning Company. In his spare time, Orin loved tinkering in his garage where he was especially good at creating many handy gadgets. For eleven years, he enjoyed the company of Misty, his beautiful Siberian husky. Orin was a member of Pella Lutheran Church in Waupun.
Orin is survived by his daughter, Karen (Charlie) Vanderhoof, Casco, WI, his son, Bob (Tana) Barsch, McFarland, his sister, Marion Barsch, Burnett, four grandchildren; Cheyenne VandeStreek, Cody Barsch, Amanda Barsch, Kachina VandeStreek, his step-son, Joel Ott, Fond du Lac, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.
Kohls Community Funeral Home, Waupun is serving the family.
