Hazel Faye Bly

Hazel Faye Bly, age 86, of Ripon, WI and formerly of Waupun, died February 16, 2012 at Ripon Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m.on Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 West Main Street, Waupun. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m.on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Hazel’s family appreciates and is thankful for the wonderful care given to Hazel by the staff of the Barrett House.

Hazel was born March 1, 1925 to Everett and Viola (Green) Snyder. Hazel attended Lamartine Elementary School, Oakfield High School, and graduated from Brandon High School. On June 24, 1944 she married the love of her life, Robert G. Bly. Mr. and Mrs. Bly farmed in the Town of Metomen for many years. Her husband “Bobbie” passed away on June 3, 1997.

Hazel was a member of the United Methodist Church in Brandon. There she was the former church treasurer and a member of the Church’s Couple’s Club for 18 years.

Hazel is survived by five sisters; Irene Stobb, Joyce Ver Meer, Darlene Rostine, Margaret (John) Hoekstra, all of Waupun, and Ruth (Warren) Stobb, Ripon, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Besides her husband, preceding her in death were her father and mother, one son, Bradley Gene, five brothers; Lyle, Wayne, Ronald, Roger and Thomas and her sister Ruby.
