Randall Jerome Everts, age 83 of Randolph, died on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Golden Living Center – Continental Manor.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 24, at First Reformed Church, 406 S. High Street, Randolph with Rev. Tim Ehrhardt officiating.
Randy’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
Randy was born on April 30, 1929 in the Town of Granville, Milwaukee County, WI, a son of Rolland and Mary (Thorn) Everts. He was a graduate of Custer High School. On July 16, 1949, he married Joyce Leibundgut in Milwaukee. Randy lived in Menomonee Falls for many years where he was employed as a truck driver for Barry Trucking. He was proud to have two sons and volunteered as a scout master for many years. Randy also enjoyed camping and fishing with his family. He moved to the Randolph area in 1996, and locally worked for Smedema Trucking prior to his retirement. Randy was a familiar face in Randolph, enjoying coffee at Denise’s café. He was a member of First Reformed Church in Randolph.
Randy is survived by two sons, Gary and his wife Jennifer Everts of Camp Douglas, WI, Shawn Everts and his girlfriend Melissa Grant, of West Allis, three grandchildren; Chad, Jason and Ben Everts, his sister; Bonnie (Rick) Townsend, special friend, Winnetta Braaksma of Randolph, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, two sisters; Nancy (Wayne) Kissling, and Jane (Bill) Vinyard, and his brother, Duane “Butch” Everts.
