Korine Fay Pierce

Korine Fay Pierce, age 57 of Brandon, passed away peacefully in her loving husband’s arms, and was received into her heavenly home on December 22, 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Kohls Community Funeral Home, 405 W. Main St. Waupun, WI. Korine’s family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m.until the time of service.

Memorials will be directed to various local pet shelters, honoring Korine’s love and concern for animals.

Korine was born on November 19, 1954 in Portage, WI, the daughter of Elwood and Arlein (Janisch) Herman. On September 26, 1981, she married Gary Pierce in Oxford, WI. For the past 11 years, Korine was employed as an accountant for the Busse Corporation of Randolph. She will be remembered for her courage, strength, and love which she expressed for all her family, friends, and pets.

Korine is survived by Gary, her husband of thirty years, her mother, Arlein Herman of Lodi, WI, three sisters; Carol (Ray) Motluck of Indiana, Rena (Larry) Ziesch of Morrisonville, WI, and Thea (Darrell) Hartmann of DeForest, one brother, Harland Herman of Poynette, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She also leaves behind her treasured kids (dogs) Jazz and Kessler.

She was preceded in death by her father, parents-in-law, Harold and Betty Pierce, and sister-in-law, Jeannie Herman.

Korine’s family is so thankful for the kind words, loving deeds, and many acts of support as they traveled down this journey. Especially appreciated is the staff of Agnesian Hospice, neighbors, close friends, and her family of Busse Employees.
